Free online 3D CAD viewer

Explore a 3D model directly in your browser. Open STEP, STL, OBJ or GLB files from your device, rotate and zoom the geometry, and inspect the parts the file actually contains.

Inspect shapes and assemblies

Rotate, pan and zoom the model. Use the model tree to select, hide or isolate actual parts. Section planes reveal interior geometry without modifying the source. Exploded views separate models with multiple imported mesh parts; a single-mesh STL has no separate assembly parts to explode.

Check dimensions and units

Measurements use triangulated or fitted geometry and are marked approximate. Confirm the source units, particularly for STL and OBJ. STEP units are normalized to millimetres; GLB uses metre coordinates. Section cuts are uncapped, and the viewer does not provide exact solid B-Rep measurements.

Keep model files local

Selected model bytes are parsed in your browser. The viewer retrieves its application assets and optional public examples, but does not upload your model to a conversion service. Recent files and preferences can remain in browser storage; clear local site data when you finish on a shared device.

Choose the right file bundle

Select OBJ materials and textures together with the model. Self-contained GLB is convenient; external glTF needs its local BIN and image companions. Compressed required glTF extensions are unsupported. Native RVT and SolidWorks files have no adapter; export a supported format in the authoring application first.

How to view a model

  1. Open the viewer and choose Open to select your local model and any required companion files.
  2. Check parser notices, source units and the model tree before interpreting the geometry.
  3. Rotate or fit the model, then choose measurement, section or exploded-view tools as appropriate.
  4. Save needed measurements or images before clearing browser storage or leaving your work.
