View OBJ files with local materials and textures

Open a Wavefront OBJ model and inspect the real objects and groups described by the file. For its intended appearance, select the referenced MTL material file and texture images together with the OBJ.

Open an OBJ file bundle

Select the complete local bundle

Choose the OBJ, MTL and required images together. The viewer resolves selected relative paths or an unambiguous filename. Missing companions produce a real diagnostic and can be added for another parse. Model references cannot download resources from an external host.

Objects, groups and source units

The model tree follows imported OBJ objects and groups rather than fabricating a CAD assembly. Source units are unknown: confirm the authoring scale before a physical measurement. OBJ is a surface format and has no CAD solid topology.

Explore the displayed geometry

Rotate and isolate actual imported parts. Section planes clip the surface without closing the cuts. Exploded views need multiple actual imported mesh parts. Measurement results remain approximate and depend on the selected points and unit choice.

How to view a model

  1. Gather the .obj, referenced .mtl and texture images from the model folder.
  2. Open the viewer and select all required files together.
  3. Resolve missing-resource notices and confirm units before measuring.
  4. Inspect actual objects and materials, then save needed images or measurements.
